Ana Kolovos is a partner in the insurance team. Ana has a diverse range of experience in all areas of insurance litigation including product liability, general liability and compensation claims, across all Victorian jurisdictions and in the High Court.
Ana has managed large liability portfolios for national and multinational insurers, claims management organisations, hoteliers, shopping centre owners, supermarket chains and other self-insured corporations.
In the compensation sphere, Ana has represented both WorkCover insurers and self-insured corporations, including defending statutory indemnity claims.
Ana’s experience extends to general liability, product liability claims relating to fires and substantial property damage, contractual and property disputes, asbestos-related matters and trade practices claims (including class actions), as well as defence of prosecutions of corporate clients and directors for breaches of work health and safety legislation.
Ana is recognised in Doyle's Guide 2019 and 2020 as a recommended Public & Product Liability Lawyer in Victoria. She was admitted to practice in Victoria in 1994. She has a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne. Her Arts major was in modern Greek and she speaks Greek fluently. Ana joined the legal practice in 2014.
