Since joining Colin Biggers & Paisley’s Insurance team in 2022, Christian has primarily focused on assisting clients in various institutional risk and liability matters.
Overview
Christian has extensive experience in both litigated and non-litigated matters in various courts throughout Victoria, New South Wales, Northern Territory and the Australian Capital Territory, including superior courts and courts of appeal.
Christian's work has been predominantly in the institutional risk & liability space as he works closely with insurers, schools, faith-based institutions, residential aged care and disability service providers, community services and not-for-profit sectors on claims of bodily injury, institutional liability matters, professional indemnity and general liability.
Christian also advises clients on governance, compliance and risk management issues, particularly in relation to child safety. He has co-authored several publications about relevant topics in the institutional risk & liability space and prior to joining Colin Biggers & Paisley, gained in-house experience working for a faith based organisation in managing sensitive claims. Christian has also worked across boutique firms in Melbourne during the early part of his career and understands the value of providing tailored legal advice.
Christian graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce in 2019 after having studied abroad in Canada in 2016 at the University of British Columbia. He was admitted to the Victorian Supreme Court in March 2021. Christian has been the member of the Law Institute of Victoria since his admission and regularly takes on pro bono work for victims of crime through the Victims of Crime and Assistance Tribunal.
