A senior associate in Colin Biggers & Paisley's disputes and investigations team since 2021, Talitha has broad commercial experience. 

Talitha takes pride in her ability to deliver innovative solutions on litigation and regulatory matters to a variety of clients across many industry sectors. Clients appreciate Talitha's conscientiousness and approachable manner.

Talitha advises on a range of matters, including regulatory investigations and prosecutions, corporate crime, market manipulation, shareholders' oppression claims, and commercial and contractual disputes. She has extensive experience conducting litigation in all Victorian courts, the Federal Court of Australia and the Supreme Court in other States. 

Talitha's recent instructions include:

  • Successfully defending an individual charged with foreign bribery by the Australian Federal Police in the Supreme Court of New South Wales. This was the first foreign bribery trial under section 70.2 of the Criminal Code (Cth) to run to a verdict.

  • Defending an individual charged with preparing for an act of foreign interference by the Australian Federal Police. This is a novel offence which has not previously been prosecuted in Australia. 

  • Acting for individuals in regulatory investigations and prosecutions. 

  • Acting for an individual in the Court of Appeal regarding the enforcement of a foreign judgment. 

  • Acting for a group of investors to bring a market manipulation claim against a fund manager in the Federal Court.

  • Acting for shareholders to bring an oppression claim in the Supreme Court of Victoria. 

  • Acting for the receivers and managers of a property developer concerning a complex contractual dispute in the Supreme Court of Victoria. 

Talitha has a strong sense of professional responsibility to advocate for social justice and human rights. She is on the advisory group for the Colin Biggers & Paisley Foundation, whose core focus is to promote and protect the rights of women, children and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples through pro bono legal services, volunteering and charitable contributions. Talitha also volunteers at Refugee Legal, defending the rights of refugees, asylum seekers and migrants.

Talitha has a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from Monash University. She was admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2013.
