A senior associate in Colin Biggers & Paisley's insurance team since 2023, Zaid's practice primarily focuses on professional indemnity and employment practices liability claims.
Zaid has broad experience in litigation including advising on claims brought against business owners, local councils, residential home owners, real estate agents and various other corporations and professionals. Additionally, Zaid has a strong background in employment law, representing employers and employees in discrimination claims, general protection disputes, terminations, unfair dismissals, redundancies and workplace investigations.
He has appeared before specialist Tribunals, the District Court, Family Court, and High Court in New Zealand. He takes pride in his pragmatic approach to resolving legal disputes in a practical manner, and is well-versed in alternative dispute resolution methods, such as mediation and settlement conferences.
Zaid holds a Bachelor of Laws and was admitted to practice in the High Court of New Zealand in October 2015 and in Victoria in June 2023.
